heavy, dark time-earned patina 

a sizing seam at the base of the band that also a potential wear spot in the band and may need to be reinforced at some point

the face of the signet is thick enough that the AHK engraving could be removed and replaced with new engraving

heavier surface scratches, dents and dings throughout the surface of the silver and gold overlay

gold shoulders are overlay and there's some visible solder where the two are joined
