This lovely and elegant vintage shell cameo features a classical beauty in bas relief profile, circa late 1940s.

The cameo consists of hand carved shell and depicts the classical female bust of antiquity facing right, with wavy hair and Roman or Greek style draped dress with flower adornments. It is unmounted and ready to be made into a brooch, pendant or other jewelry piece. 

The cameo is generously sized at 1&1/8 inches wide by 1&1/2 inches tall and weighs 7.7 grams.

Very good condition with no wear and completely intact.
